Big Ten Reverses Decision, Will Have 2020 Season

Sept. 16, 2020 — The Big Ten has reversed a choice to delay its 2020 soccer season and the league says it’ll start play the weekend of Oct. 24.

Just over a month in the past, the Big Ten was the primary main convention to delay its season, however the convention’s college presidents and chancellors voted unanimously Tuesday to head forward with the season, the Washington Post reported.

The league says it’ll put into effect scientific protocols comparable to day-to-day coronavirus testing and enhanced cardiac screening.

“Our focal point with the Task Force over the past six weeks was once to make sure the well being and protection of our student-athletes. Our objective has at all times been to go back to pageant so all student-athletes can notice their dream of competing within the sports activities they love,” Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren stated in a observation, the Post reported.
