Commission submits formal proposal to defer EU ETS international aviation compliance by one year


This formal proposal follows the Commission’s remark on 12 November pronouncing the goal to placed on dangle the enforcement of the inclusion of aviation within the EU ETS in relation to flights to and from non-European international locations till after the ICAO General Assembly subsequent autumn.

The formal proposal, which will have to be agreed by early 2013, shall be submitted to the European Parliament and the Council and is topic to the odd legislative process.
