Didn’t “season” the new mortar and pestle : AskCulinary

So we were given a new mortar and pestle lately, and she did not learn the instructions.
All she did was once rinse the mortar and pestle with luke heat water.

She simply completed making pesto in it (with lawn contemporary herbs).. Do we want to throw it out and “season” it correctly with the rice now, or is it fit for human consumption the pesto?
