SAN FRANCISCO, United States — Gap Inc on Thursday reported a 43 % fall in first-quarter gross sales, as the attire store used to be pressured to near its shops because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Net loss got here in at $932 million, or $2.51 in line with proportion, for the 3 months ended May 2, when compared with a benefit of $227 million, or 60 cents in line with proportion, a 12 months previous.

Net gross sales fell to $2.11 billion from $3.71 billion.
