Milk soak or simple syrup : AskCulinary


I’m creating a cake for a buddies birthday and I’m going all out (simply because I will be able to). I will be able to’t determined whether or not to do a vanilla milk soak for the layers or a simple syrup and I would like some enter/ recommendation on it, as it is my first time doing one thing this giant, and I are not looking for it to be loopy candy.

The cake is 2 white vanilla cake, with vanilla butter cream at the outdoor, a gloomy chocolate ganache between the layers then a gloomy chocolate drip and colored white chocolate shards.
