Syed Ali Shah Geelani, the face of Kashmir’s separatist politics over the past 3 a long time, has introduced his resignation from Hurriyat Conference, the largest separatist amalgam in Kashmir. The 90-year-old was once a lifelong chairman of the Hurriyat.
In an audio message, Syed Ali Shah Geelani stated he was once pronouncing his resignation from the All Party Hurriyat Conference as a result of “the present instances” within the umbrella team.
“In view of the present state of the Hurriyat Conference, I’m pronouncing my entire dissociation from the discussion board. In this context I’ve already despatched an in depth letter to all constituents of the discussion board,” stated Mr Geelani in an audio message launched this morning.
This marks a big building for separatist politics in Jammu and Kashmir after the federal government ended its particular standing beneath the charter’s Article 370 in August ultimate and cut up it into two union territories.
Sources say Mr Geelani have been going through complaint from teams in Pakistan for what they referred to as his failure to reply to the federal government’s transfer. Since then, the veteran Hurriyat chief have been silent.
